Wondering when your favorite fruit / veggie will be available in the Garden State? Take a look at this chart. (My suggestion is to stick to the "most active" dates, as that should be the bulk of the harvest.)

Heritage Winery LAT: 39.723930 LON: -75.172325 This is one of the best kept secrets of South Jersey. Excellent wines, great staff. Wine tasting on site. They have BBQ during the summer. They also have a U-Pick orchard of all manner of fruit trees. Petting zoo for the kids. [NOTE: Try the "Jersey Red" wine -- it's our fave!]	Moods Farm Market LAT: 39.667851 LON: -75.209673 If you don't know Moods, you don't know South Jersey. A long-time U-pick farm with pretty much every crop you might find in Jersey. Too long to list. Find their web site to see what's being picked (everything is seasonal there). NOT open on Sundays.	Sauders Farm Market LAT: 39.499070 LON: -75.091558 Great little farm stand and nursery. Nice selection of flowering plants, bedding plants, and bushes. During growing season they have the BEST cantalope and veggies. When no one is around, there's an honor box -- so bring small bills and some change.	Garden Road Greenhouse LAT: 39.535775 LON: -75.128489 Nice nursery, decent prices. Carry trees, shrubs, bed plants. They have a few hot houses. They also carry pumpkins in the fall, etc.


Fruitwood Orchards Honey Farm LAT: 39.668417 LON: -75.187399 A great location for local honey. Sadly, the main store is only open during the week, but the stand out front is open during the summer months on the weekend.	Roadside Farm Stand (#1) LAT: 39.536540 LON: -75.132819 One of many in South NJ. Probably not open until at least the end of May.	Sorbello Girls Farm Market LAT: 39.683966 LON: -75.206380 Just one of the many "hidden" farm stands of South Jersey. This is a larger one, with a big variety of fruits and veggies. Also bedding plants, and from time to time, flowers. Very nice staff -- a true farming family. [Note: OPEN as of May 2, 2009... at least on weekends. OPEN on Sundays.]	"U-Pay Apples" (Richwood Orchards?) LAT: 39.714805 LON: -75.168227 Okay, so it's not the actual name of the place, just the nickname I gave it. Basically, it's a warehouse bay filled with cheap, bagged apples -- and an "honor box". Take what you want, and leave the money in the box. Bring lots of singles, since they don't give out change -- and don't visit until apples are being harvested (Around late September).

Weavers Farm Market LAT: 39.528750 LON: -75.100014 A larger farm/nursery stand. A great place for fresh veggies and fruit. They also offer a few hot-houses of flowering plants and bedding plants, as well as some garden materials (fertilizer, etc.). Not open on Sundays.


D'Angelo's Farm Stand LAT: 39.690930 LON: -75.174306 Looks to have a decent selection of green-house raised flowers. I didn't notice any produce, but I didn't get a chance to stop in.	Bertuzzi's Market LAT: 39.463232 LON: -74.878415 Wow! If you're looking for great pie, this is the place to go. Just amazing bakery. They also have a large selection of fruit and veggies, and a large selection of herb plants, bedding plants, and flowers. Totally a "one stop shop" for weekend fun.
